Manitowoc, Wis. (April 29, 2019) – Heresite, a leader in the development of thin film corrosion resistant coatings, has been listed in The American Institute of Architects (AIA) MasterSpec Construction Specification Resource. MasterSpec® is the industry-leading building and construction specification resource. Specifications are written by professional specifiers, architects, and engineers, rigorously reviewed by top specification experts, and updated regularly to keep pace with industry changes.
Coatings for HVAC (Section 230546) is a recently updated addition to MasterSpec. The coatings section will now include Heresite product, P-413 full immersion coating.
“We are pleased that AIA has added P-413 and ES-606 to the Coatings for HVAC section of its MasterSpec document,” states Peter Hellman, General Manager for Heresite Protective Coatings. “This will help architects select the most appropriate coating for the HVAC-R units in their construction project’s environment.”
About P-413
P-413 Baked Phenolic Epoxy is a thin film, high performance coating used principally for coil and radiator heat exchangers as well as other air and fume handling equipment fabricated of light gauge metals. It is the first HVAC-R coil and radiator coating to meet the ISO 12944-9 (formerly ISO 20340) Standard for severe offshore marine environments. P-413 is suitable for use in a variety of environments, including:
- Marine and other salt air environments
- Wastewater and sewage treatment facilities
- Chemical and refinery operations
- Swimming pool or other highly chlorinated environments
About Heresite Protective Coatings
Established in 1935, Heresite Protective Coatings has spent more than 80 years developing and perfecting protective coatings that solve corrosion problems in a variety of applications including commercial heating, cooling, refrigeration or other industrial process coils, as well as components that are regularly exposed to corrosive conditions, including coastal and marine environments. The company’s ongoing focus on technology leadership, rigorous quality and process control, and customer satisfaction has led to the development of multiple industry-leading coatings based on phenolic, epoxy phenolic, urethane and silicone chemistries. Heresite coatings not only provide protection in corrosive high salinity marine conditions, but industrial applications such as wastewater treatment, swimming pools, food processing, mining, oil and gas, semi-conductor production, pulp and paper, textile factories and other environments where these systems are exposed to chemical fumes.
