Your Coatings Conundrum

Heresite Spray CoatingImagine you’re tasked with finding the right coating to protect the heat exchangers on your HVAC/R units. After exploring various options, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and uncertain. But don’t worry – we’re here to simplify the process and guide you through it.

Choosing the correct Heresite coating for your needs is easy. You have two options: baked phenolic epoxy and a sprayed-on air-dry coating.

Baked Phenolic Epoxy

Our P-413 baked phenolic epoxy is the performance standard for HVAC/R coatings. It provides maximum protection to heat exchangers in the most challenging chemical, coastal, and C5 offshore environments (or locations with very high levels of corrosion.) It’s applied by immersion or flow coat and then is baked at 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

Gray Coated CoilSpray Applied Air Dry Coatings

When baking is not an option for reasons like the onsite unit is already in place, the HVAC unit has temperature-sensitive parts, or it’s a project concerned with energy consumption, we have spray-applied air dry coatings. Air dry coatings are versatile and easier to apply than baked coatings, which is one of the reasons they are our most popular coatings worldwide.

HereShield WB-506 is the highest performing water base air dry coating for heat exchangers. It is for coastal and mild-to-medium chemical environments. You or a local paint professional can apply it.
